Independent CSM Assessment Body as per EC/402/2013

Our independent technical assessment body offers manufacturers, suppliers, operators, notified bodies and government agencies experts for all structural subsystems.


Since 1 July, 2012 the CSM directive has been in effect, for establishing a common European safety method for the assessment and evaluation of risks, and is based on EN 50126:
  • for all structural subsystems of the railways system
  • for every safety-relevant change or new development
  • for every TEIV approval
In accordance with Annex II of the CSM Directive EC/402/2013, we serve as an independent assessment body for the subsystems
  • vehicle
  • energy
  • train protection, train control and signaling
  • system integration
and assess whether your system meets the set safety requirements based on documentation.
  • evaluation of safety plans, hazard logs and compliance with safety requirements
  • independent safety evaluation for retrofitting and purchase of vehicles
  • creating a safety evaluation report as part of the vehicle dossier
In parallel, we also evaluate functional safety according to:
  • railway standards such as CENELEC EN 5012X, SIRF, IEC 61508 and Safety Directive 2004/49/EC
  • industry standards such as EN 13849, EN 62061 and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
